Both Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computer Science are academic disciplines that are
closely related to one another but are distinct from one another. As their primary fields of
investigation, AI and Computer Science are primarily concerned with the research and
development of intelligent agents and computer systems. Shall we investigate each of these
topics even further, if that is all OK with you? AI is an acronym that stands for “artificial
intelligence.” The branch of computer science known as artificial intelligence (AI) focuses on
the development of software and hardware for computers and other devices that are capable
of doing activities that would ordinarily need the intellect of a person. Examples of these
tasks include problem solving and decision making. John McCarthy is credited as being the
one who first used the term “artificial intelligence” in 1956. The process entails a number of
processes, one of which is the creation of algorithms, models, and technologies that equip
computers with the power to observe, reason, learn, and make decisions on their own without
human intervention. The subfield of computer science known as artificial intelligence (AI)
focuses on developing methods to endow machines with the capacity to solve challenging
issues in a manner that is more comparable to the way in which people would solve such
problems. AI, or artificial intelligence, is the process of constructing computer systems that
are able to carry out activities that would ordinarily need the intellect of a human being. This
process is referred to as the development of intelligent computer systems. Visual perception,
the ability to recognise speech, the ability to make decisions, and the ability to translate
languages are all included in these skills. It is bringing about change and development in the
field of computer science by employing programming approaches that are becoming
increasingly advanced. This book analyses both the current uses of AI within the discipline of
computer science as well as the prospective future applications of AI.
